Large lounge/dining room with open fireplace, satellite television (BBC + )and CD/radio sterio system. Double French doors leading out onto paio dining area. Fitted kitchen with gas cooker. Laundry room with washing machine. Outside private walled patio with Jacuzzi, iron gates leading into garden. Stone steps up on to sunroof terrace with excellent views of the village, mountains, coastline and Mojacar.

Local Area Details

The old mining village of El Pinar is situated in the Sierra Los Filabres mountains. It consists of about 50 privately owned Villas ( NOT A COMPLEX ). The Villa and area will appeal to those looking for privacy without being remote, in a tranquil setting. A car is essential. El Pinar has a bar/restaurant with a swimming pool. The nearest airport is Almeria which is approx 45 minutes car drive (Motorway). The second is Alicante some 2 hours drive (Motorway).Which ever airport you choose La Casita is within 10 minutes from motorway junction.
The village of Los Gallardos is about 5 minutes away for every day shopping requirements and bank. The towns of Turre, Vera, Garrucha and Mojacar are some 15 minutes car ride. All these towns have an open market once a week. also large supermarkets, banks and wide range of shops. Open most days of the week. These towns also ofer a wide range of Tapas bars and restaurants ofering a selection of food for all tastes. Look out or ask for 'menu del dia' (meal of the day) which consist of a 3 coarse meal with wine, very good value. For those looking for night life these towns also have many bars and club/discos.
There are excellent facilities locally to persue various sports and activities, tennis, squash, bowls, horse riding, swimming, snorkling, windsurfing and jet skiing. Golf is also catered for in a big way with a number of old and new couses in the area. Some not more than 10 minutes car ride away.
The fishing port/marina of Garrucha where you can view the fishermen landing their catch daily. As well as being a beach resort Mojacar claims tobe one of the oldest Moorish towns in Southeren Spain. It is set up high on the side of a mountain and if you go up into the town square it unequalled views of the coastline, mountains and srrounding countryside.
Mojacar is also a popular tourst restort with the Spanish who come down from Madrid on day trips and annual holidays (a good sign). Mojacar and Garrucha have a wide selection of clean sandy beaches, but if you wish to travel a little further there are many lovely places to swimming and sunbathing with shower facilities. Most beaches have bars and restaunrants, also play areas for children. Vera Playa has an Aqua Park and a go-kart track, great fun for all.
For those who enjoy sight seeing Almeria has number great places to visit. Granada is also great for sight seeing and skiing. it is well worth a 2 day trip. It takes about 2 1/2 - 3 hours by car.
So if you are looking for somewhere away from it all to relax but within easy reach of all amenities this area will certainly appeal to you.
